Terms of sale and use
Short terms, in plain words. By buying or using Kubbe, you accept them.
The subscription
Kubbe costs €15.90 a year, VAT included. The subscription renews automatically every year on the date of your purchase, at the price in effect that day.
At least one month before each renewal, you get an email with the date, the amount and how to stop it.
You can stop the renewal anytime, in Kubbe › Licence… › Gérer mon abonnement (the app is in French for now), or on Link. Kubbe keeps working until the end of the year you already paid for.
The license
- A license is personal and works on one Mac at a time.
- You can move it to another Mac whenever you like (Kubbe › Licence… › Retirer de ce Mac), up to 3 times a month.
- Kubbe checks your license online from time to time; without a connection, it keeps working for 14 days.
- Every feature and every update of the app and the engine is included, with no paid add-ons.
- A refunded license, or one disputed with your bank, is deactivated and its subscription stops.
Payment
Stripe sells Kubbe as its official reseller, through its Link service: the order, the invoice, VAT and charges are handled by Link, under its own terms. On your statement, the payment shows as “LINK.COM* KUBBE”.
Refunds
You can get a refund within 14 days of your purchase or of a renewal, no questions asked. Details are on the Refunds page.
What Kubbe does, and doesn’t do
- Kubbe runs Windows games on a Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or newer) and macOS 15 or later. It doesn’t work on Intel Macs.
- Most DirectX 9 to 12 games run, but not all of them. Games protected by some anti-cheat systems, such as BattlEye or Vanguard, don’t start.
- Games aren’t included: you buy and install them from their launchers (Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Battle.net, Ubisoft Connect), whose terms you remain bound by.
- DirectX 12 games need Apple’s Game Porting Toolkit, which you download yourself from Apple, under Apple’s terms. Kubbe doesn’t provide it.
Open-source software
Kubbe relies on open-source software, including Wine, DXVK, DXMT and MoltenVK, each under its own license. Their authors aren’t affiliated with Kubbe.
Warranty
Kubbe is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, its liability is limited to the price paid for the current year. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
